Youth Support Worker
Are you passionate about empowering LGBTQ+ young people to be themselves, find their voice, and achieve their potential?
We're looking for a dedicated Youth Support Worker to play a key role in delivering our LGBTQ+ Project, including Step Out, our youth group for LGBTQ+ young people aged 11-16. You'll provide group work, one-to-one support, advocacy and guidance, helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence and develop positive relationships in a safe, inclusive environment.
Working as part of our wider youth support team, you'll also contribute to our Flipside and ReachOut projects, supporting young people experiencing vulnerability, exploitation, offending-related risks and other challenges through trauma-informed, relationship-based practice.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years' experience working with young people.
- A strong commitment to supporting and advocating for LGBTQ+ young people.
- Understanding of issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities and young people's wellbeing.
- Experience of building trusted relationships and delivering engaging youth work activities.
- A commitment to inclusion, equality and empowering young people's voices.

Street Based Outreach Worker

We're looking for a dedicated Street Based Outreach Worker to join our team and engage young people across Hull. You'll build trusted relationships, provide early support, and help young people access services, opportunities and positive pathways that improve their wellbeing and life chances.
Working across communities in Hull, you'll engage with young people who may be experiencing challenges such as anti-social behaviour, exploitation, substance misuse, poor mental health, or disengagement from services. You'll provide practical support, deliver interventions, and work alongside partner agencies to help young people achieve positive outcomes.
This role consists of five 4-hour outreach shifts per week, typically afternoons and early evenings, with occasional weekend working.
We're Looking For Someone With:
- At least 2 years' experience working with young people.
- Experience of outreach or community-based youth work.
- Knowledge of issues affecting young people, including exploitation, mental health, substance misuse and anti-social behaviour.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience of partnership working and safeguarding practice.
- A commitment to equality, inclusion and empowering young people.

As part of the essential duties of this role, staff spend extended periods in the community, including walking between locations, standing, and remaining active during outreach sessions of up to four hours in varying weather conditions.
